Terroir : The vineyards are located in the communes of Budos and Pujols sur Ciron. They are planted on gravel, stones, sand, silt and clay.
Grape Variety : Merlot & Cabernet Sauvignon.
Harvesting : Meticular at best maturity.
Winemaking : This wine comes from a selection of parcels. After an alcoholic fermentation in thermo-regulated stainless steel tanks at a temperature between 22°C and 24°C, the wine is pumped from the tanks after 15 to 20 days of malolactic fermentation. The best lots are selected and aged in oak barrels for 12 months.
Production : 14 000 bottles.
Tasting notes : With a deep ruby red robe this wine has a complex nose of black lightly peppered cherries. The palate is soft and has a complex combination of black fruits with spicy notes. The structure is elegant with a balanced volume and fine oaky notes. The finish is delicate with silky tannins.
Food pairing : This wine can be drunk with friends on dishes of grilled meats such as entrecote, lamb chops or on sauce accompanied dishes. It is perfect with a large dish of different cheeses.
